Often we are bewildered by technical, scientific arguments. That bewilderment leads to a “Who am I to argue with the experts?” attitude. One therefore defaults to a position in which one chooses to accept the expertise of those in authority. In doing so, when your health is at stake, you are betting your life that “the authorities” are right.
What if they are wrong?
There are many qualified scientists (e.g. Dr. Haley) who claim that that is precisely the case. But the chances are that you are not qualified scientifically to make a judgment on a debate over the many issues that can impact your health. What are you to do?
In an effort to help with that, Dr. Brian McLean wrote an article entitled “Scientific Criticism By and For The Scientifically Untrained”.
